Yang Yang is currently lecturer in Chinese at the department of Languages and Cultures at UCCS. She has been teaching Chinese at all levels since 2012.

She received her M.A. in International Broadcast Journalism from the University of Central Birmingham at Birmingham, United Kingdom. Prior to joining the faculty at UCCS, she served as journalist at BBC international services, New China Daily, Jiangsu Nanjing TV station and Sampan in Boston before she moved to Colorado Springs.

Since her teaching debuted here in UCCS, she has taught a range of classes on different levels of Chinese language and individual studies. She is also interested in visual and textual cultures, intellectual and cultural history, as well as literary Chinese
